In Nakusp (known as the hidden gem of the Kootenays) you will find
several fine shops and eating establishments plus a marina which
is open year round offering boat rentals and charters. A
spectacular water front walk will take you to a large sandy beach
and community park. Nearby is a well maintained 9 hole golf
course.
Winter recreation boasts a small,
affordable family ski hill with a T-bar, just 16kms from town.
Groomed cross country ski trails are close to town. There is also
a very fine arena for skating, hockey, and curling.
Summer or winter you can enjoy first
class hot springs! The Nakusp Hot Springs is fully developed and
must be visited and enjoyed. Nakusp is small, only 2500 people,
but has everything you need. A nice place to get away from it all!
